BIRGUNJ: A minor was killed when two persons engaged in a scuffle over crops in Babuain, Bara on Sunday.

According to Police Inspector Bigyan Raj Sharma, Pratima Kumari Yadav, the two-year daughter of Musafir Raya Yadav was killed during a fight between Yadav and Bhulaban Rawat in Babuain VDC-8, Bara. The child succumbed to her injuries during the course of her treatment in the district hospital in Kalaiya.

In a separate incident, Pradeep Prasad Yadav in Harpatgunj VDC-3, Parsa suffered severe losses when a fire broke out in his residence. According to Shreepur Ward Police Office, food items, clothes, bicycle and other possessions worth around Rs 1.5 lakh were damaged in the incident.
