PHIDIM: A child died and two others were injured in a road accident in Ranitar VDC of Panchthar District on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Sujan Rai (12) of Ranitar-9, said the District Police Office, Panchthar.

Rai died on the spot when the truck (Me 1 Ta 4256), travelling to Pauwabhanjyang from Thulobhalu Khop fell around 55 metres down the road, police added.

They also added that injured Dipesh Rai (18) and Pahal Man Rai (22) have been sent to Birta City Hospital for treatment.

However, the cause for the accident is yet to be ascertained.
