KANCHANPUR: A girl who had gone missing for the past five days was found in neighbouring India.

Laxmi Chand (21), permanent resident of Kanjabhoj in Mahakali Municipality-7, Kanchanpur district, was found in Nanakmata of India.

Chand, who had left home to meet her friend on February 6, had reportedly forgotten the way to her friend's house and had instead reached India.

According to Area Police Office, Dodhara, based on a missing person complaint filed by the family, a team led by Police Inspector carried out a search and found Chand in India.

Gyan Bahadur Seti, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), said that she has been handed over to the family.
