KHOTANG: A youth was found dead after seven days of his disappearance, on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Man Kumar Rai (29) of Phedi VDC-4 in Khotang district.

Locals have informed police that Rai, who had gone to a traditional weekly trade festival (Hatbazaar) in Baskila on December 23, was found dead in neighbouring Baspani-5.

Shepherds had noticed the body in a trench and informed the local police about the case.

Inspector at the Khotang District Police Office, Saroj Rai, said the cause behind the incident in not known yet.

Police said they are looking into the case.
