Missing unidentified man found dead in Morang

BHOJPUR: A man who had gone missing after being swept by a river in Morang district was found dead on Sunday.

The body was recovered from Mawa Khola of Toribari, Madhumalla-3, Morang. The identity of the man, who appears to be in mid-40s, is yet to be ascertained, informed the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar.

Locals of the area had informed police after spotting the body afloat in the river at around 1 pm yesterday. The police team deployed from Madumalla Area Police Office had then recovered the body from the river.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old kid died after local Jyamire Khola of Dhankuta had swept him away on Sunday.

Dipen Yonzan, son of Ramesh Yonzan, a local of Chungbang-2, is said to have been swept away by the river while he was going to his school at around 10 in the morning.

The body of the child was recovered 400 metres downstream the rivulet, informed the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar.
