Missing Sampang in focus on Int’l Rights Day

INSEC and Human Rights Forum have claimed that then member of All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) Katak Sampang, who was allegedly disappeared, had been murdered. According to a report publicised on Wednesday, the Nepal Army arrested Sampang, a resident of Mangalbare VDC-3, in 2002, and had taken him to Shantipur VDC, where he was shot. “As per information from Shantipur locals and other arrested with him, we have reached to a conclusion that Sampang was murdered,” Prakash Adhikary, member of the probe committee, said. — HNS
