MJF CC decides on agitation

BIRGUNJ: The plenum Central Committee (CC) meeting of the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum (MJF) decided to start an agitation from January 15.

The CC meeting held at the Mahabir Tibdewala Dharmasala in Aadarsha Nagar, Birgunj, on Tuesday night had decided to lead a peaceful protest. The meeting formed a 9-member committee under the leadership of party chairman Yadav which comprises party leaders Jaya Prakash Gupta, Ramsahaya Yadav, Renu Yadav, B P Yadav, Mohammad Istiyak Rayan, Harinarayan Yadav, Ganesh Yadav, Arjun Thapa and Firoz Mansur, general secretary of Yuba Forum (MYF), a youth wing of the MJF as members.

Addressing his party central members and officials of the sister oganisation, chairman Yadav said that the agitation is needed due to the apathy of the government towards the problems of Madhesi people and long lasting peace. He added that the government has to conduct a dialogue with armed forces for peace in Terai.

Likewise, the central committee meeting of Madhesi Yuba Forum has begun at Samjhana Hotel in Shreepur, Birgunj. The MYF general secretary informed that the meeting would focus on the role of youth to ensure the success of the mother party's upcoming agitation.
