MJF wants govt gone

Rautahat, October 18:

Calling for the dissolution of the government for failing to hold the constituent assembly polls, president of the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum (MJF) Upendra Yadav said today that an interim government should be formed.

The MJF has also announced an agitation from November 22 to put pressure on the state to meet its demands. Speaking at a press session after a plenum of the MJF in Gaur today, Yadav accused the government of failing to implement the agreements reached with the MJF, indigenous nationalities, Janajati and women.

“The forum is ready to fight the foreign forces, which are working to turn Nepal into a failed state,” he said, adding, “We will launch a phasewise agitation to maintain law and order.” He also accused the Maoists of walking out of the government to defer the polls and bolster pro-monarch forces, worsening the already uncertain political scenario.

The plenum has concluded that the government worked against the mandate of the Jana Andolan II and spirit of the Madhesi Janaandolan, Yadav said.
