BHOJPUR: Property worth around Rs 511,000 were destroyed in a fire that gutted a shop in Shadananda Municipality-11 of Bhojpur district on Wednesday.

The fire that started with an electric short-circuit from a mobile shop operated by Lokendra Shrestha in the house belonging to Surendra Udas in Jhaupokhari, destroyed a computer set, a laptop, a TV set, 10 sets of mobile phones, and other properties housed inside the shop, informed District Police Office, Bhojpur.

Police with the help of locals brought the fire under control, said Area Police Office, Deurali.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway.
