The Ministry of Home Affairs has altered the responsibilities of 10 joint secretaries.
The MoHA has altered the role of Joint Secretary Rudrasingh Tamang as Director General of Department of Immigration. The previous director general of the department Jhalakram Adhikari was transferred to the ministry. The MoHA has sent Rudrasingh Tamang as the Director General of the Immigration Department. He was previously in the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.
After it was revealed that the previous director general Jhalakram Adhikari was in collusion with Dawa Chhiring, who was involved in gold smuggling, he was dumped by the MoHA and has been transferred to the additional group of the Ministry of General Administration. Now Tamang will head the Department of Immigration.
Jayanarayan Acharya has got the role of Disaster Management Authority. Similarly, Gogan Bahadur Hamal has been transferred as the Head of Immigration at Tribhuvan International Airport.
The MoHA has also altered the role of four Chief District Officers. Roshani Kumari Shrestha has been transferred as Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur. Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur Khagendra Prasad Risal has been transferred to the Ministry of Home Affairs and CDO of Baglung Roshani Kumari Shrestha has been made CDO of Bhaktapur.
Similarly, Joint Secretary Ganesh Aryal has been appointed as CDO of Rupandehi. Earlier, he was the CDO of Lalitpur Metropolitan City. Now he has got an opportunity to work as the head of District Administration Office, Rupandehi quickly after he joined the MoHA. Likewise, Ram Bandhu Subedi has been transferred to Dang and Shivram Gelal as CDO in Mahottari. Joint secretaries Deepak Kumar Pahadi, Bharatmani Pandey and Khagendra Prasad Rizal have been transferred to the MoHA.
