Monument in memory of enforced disappeared
RUKUM: A monument has been constructed in Rukum district headquarters in memory of 13 enforced disappeared from both the state and rebel sides during the decade-long armed conflict.
The monument was unveiled on Saturday on the premises of Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) Rukum district chapter.
The International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) erected the memorial to commemorate the enforced disappeared persons from the district, it is said.
On the occasion, relatives of the disappeared said that such step would help reduce their psychological trauma caused after the missing of their near and dear ones.
