More persons take Ayurvedic treatment in Jhapa

JHAPA: The number of people receiving Ayurvedic treatment in the district has increased lately.

Information Officer at District Ayurvedic Health Centre, Chandragadhi, Sakaldev Chaudhary said that 35,000 plus persons received health services from the Centre in the fiscal year 2071/72 BS. The number of patients visiting the Centre was slightly more than 25,000, he added.

The government has been providing altogether 140 types of Ayurvedic medicines free of cost to the public.

The Centre said that mostly the patients of jaundice, gastric, stone and some other diseases are taking the service of the Ayurvedic treatment system.
