LAHAN: A motorcyclist was killed last night after crashing into a tractor in Dhangadi area of Siraha district along the East-West Highway.

The deceased has been identified as Gudar Mukhiya of Lahan Municipality–22. He died while being rushed to the district headquarters Lahan for treatment, Area Police Office, Dhangadi said.

The ill-fated motorbike (Sa 3 Pa 5058) was heading toward west when it crashed into the rear part of a stationary tractor (Sa 1 Ta 3175) while trying to dodge a pedestrian who was crossing the road with domestic cattle in Dhangadimai Municipality–10.

The pedestrian has been identified as Ram Ashish Yadav of Sothiyaeen–9 of Siraha, who was injured in the incident. He is receiving treatment at Ram Prasad Uma Prasad Memorial Hospital in Lahan, police said.
