KATHMANDU: Police in Mugu district of western Nepal arrested a couple on charge of murdering own four children.

Nanda Bahadur Rokaya, his wife Bachu as well as his mother Asari, residents of Hyanglu-6 of the district, were arrested from their village today.

Police said Nanda Bahadur and Bachu murdered their daughters: nine-year-old Suntali and four-year-old Bipana as well as sons: Yuvaraj (6) and Dip Bahadur (2).

Local police were reported of disappearance of the children on Wednesday.

But, their bodies were recovered buried in their own field around 100 metres away the home today.

A stone wall was also erected above the bodies, according to police.

Further investigation is underway.
