RAUTAHAT, FEBRUARY 17
Ishanath Municipality Mayor Santosh Kumar Meheta laid the foundation stone for construction of the municipality building, a school, and a temple to be built from the development budget of the municipality, in Rautahat, today.
Mayor Meheta laid the foundation stone on the occasion of Basanta Panchami. Ward 3 Chairman Ram Kailash Raut donated three kattha land for construction of the buildings.
Meheta said tender was called from the municipal assembly. The budget was estimated at Rs 50 million.
The mayor informed that construction work would start within a week. "Coordination with the authority concerned for additional amount is under way," he added.
Meheta said expert manpower would provide fast delivery service from the municipal building.
Mayor Meheta said he had been working for construction of the municipality building since he was elected mayor. He said the process was delayed due to lack of building.
He said he had aimed to inaugurate the buildings during his tenure.
Similarly, the foundation stone of the school building belonging to Rais Basic School and Hanuman temple were also laid at Mansari today.
