LALITPUR: Property worth Rs 275,000 was destroyed when a mushroom farm caught fire at Taukhel, Godawari-12 of Lalitpur district on Sunday.

The incident took place at the mushroom farm owned by Binod Chhesar (38), a local of Lalitpur, when hay bales prepared for mushroom cultivation caught fire, said police.

The fire was doused by the collective effort of locals and police personnel.

Police are investigating into the case.
