Rajbiraj, May 6

Protesting the government’s recent decision to cut public holiday on the Muslim community’s Id-Ul-fitra and Bakar Id, they demonstrated demanding revocation of the decision and submitted a memo to draw the prime  minister’s attention, in Saptari, on Sunday.

The demonstration, led by leaders of the community, went around Rajbiraj market and reached the district administration office to submit the memo to CDO Bhagirath Pandey to be conveyed to the PM.    They warned of strong agitation if the government didn’t rectify the list of national public holidays.
