KATHMANDU, APRIL 18
Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has increased flight frequency to Resunga Airport in Gulmi to four days a week starting Saturday.
According to the new schedule, flights between Kathmandu and Resunga will now operate on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, up from the earlier three-day service.
Resunga station chief Suman Thapa said the expansion follows the maintenance of NAC's Twin Otter aircraft used for domestic operations. However, the increase in flight frequency has been accompanied by a rise in fares due to higher fuel costs.
Under the revised rates, the one-way fare from Kathmandu to Resunga is Rs 10,902, while the fare from Resunga to Kathmandu is Rs 10,702
Regular flights have been in operation at Resunga Airport for the past five months, except during adverse weather. NAC deploys its 18-seater Twin Otter aircraft on the route.
