KATHMANDU, MAY 16

A Pakistani woman climber has scripted mountaineering history by scaling the world's fourth highest mountain this morning.

After successfully reaching Mt Everest on May 14, Naila Kiani today scaled Mt Lhotse, Mingma Gyalje Sherpa, Managing Director at Imagine Nepal Treks, said.

Naila has become the first Pakistani woman to scale Mt Lhotse as well as fastest Pakistani woman to climb six mountains above 8000 m, according to Sherpa.

This season, she has scaled Mt Annapurna, Mt Everest and Mt Lhotse.

"Naila along with Pasang Temba Sherpa stood atop Mt Lhotse at 8:13am," Mingma G shared.

Naila had also scaled K2, GI and GII. Naila is a Dubai-based Pakistani banker, an amateur boxer and a mother of two daughters. Naila Kiani also became the first international climber to reach the summit of Mount Everest this season.
