KATHMANDU, JULY 30

The Narayangadh-Muglin road section has been obstructed after the landslide debris covered the road in Kalikhola of Ichhchha Kamana Rural Municipality-6 of Chitwan distict.

The landslide occurred at 9:00 am this morning, resulting in the complete obstruction of the road, leaving vehicles and and passengers stranded on both sides of the affected area, Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson, Bijay Raj Pandit , at Chitwan District Police Office was quoted as saying to RSS.

The continuous rainfall and ongoing debris falling have hindered road-clearing efforts, making it challenging to restore traffic flow, DSP Pandit said.

During the monsoon season, the Narayangadh-Muglin route is particularly prone to landslides and road blockages. The recurring obstructions have caused significant difficulties for commuters, as this road section serves as a major route connecting Kathmandu to various parts of the country.
