Narayangadh-Muglin road reopens


CHITWAN: Transportation along the Narayangadh-Muglin road stretch has resumed following the removal of the landslide debris.

The road stretch was obstructed since this morning after a landslide struck at Darechok VDC–4 near Mugling Bazaar at 5:25 am.

The traffic along the road resumed at 10:30 am today, according to the Chitwan District Police Office.

Narayangadh-Muglin, Hetaunda-Kulekhani-Kathmandu roads obstructed

CHITWAN/ HETAUNDA: The Narayangadh-Muglin road section in Chitwan has been obstructed from around 5:30 am today due to a landslide at Darechok VDC-5.

The road section was obstructed as a landslide fell onto the road around 400 metrs away Muglin Bazaar towards Narayangadh, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.

Preparations are underway to resume the road section after removing the landslide debris, said police.

Meanwhile, the Hetaunda-Kulekhani-Kathmandu road was also obstructed since this morning due to a landslide in Thing Danda, Sisneri VDC-4 of Makawanpur district.

The Makawanpur District Police Office said vehicles plying on the road have been diverted toward the Tribhuvan Rajpath after the obstruction.

Chief District Officer Man Bahadur Bishwakarma said efforts are underway to open the obstructed road and traffic could resume by midday today.
