FNJ’s concern

DHANGADI: Federation of Nepali Journalists Doti chapter has expressed concerns about the complaint against Tekendra Deuba, reporter The Himalayan Times, lodged at DAO on the charge of smearing tar on Gopal Acharya, chief of Seti Technical School Dipayal. Dil Bahadur Chhantyal, the FNJ chapter chief, said, “Listing the name of a reporter is just a ploy to discourage free press.” The release further added that Deuba had reached the school after getting information that Acharya was being smeared black.

Bomb at govt office

BARDIYA: A pressure cooker bomb was found on the premises of District Land Reforms Office on Saturday morning. Locals coming out for a morning walk had spotted the bomb at the office gate. According to police, they had cordoned off the area after information. Inspector Prakash Sapkota said a bomb disposal team of the Armed Police Force reached the spot four hours later.
