Land dispute death

BARA: One person was killed on Saturday night in a land dispute in Telkuwa VDC of Bara district. Seriously injured Mangal Prasad Yadav, a resident of Telkuwa VDC died while being rushed to a hospital in Kalaiya, stated the District Police Office. Police have arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in the killing, said Inspector Rameshwor Yadav. Meanwhile, a teenager was found dead in Bagadampur Tole in Dahiyar VDC on Sunday morning. Police are yet to identify the deceased. The body has been sent to Kalaiya District Hospital for autopsy.

Kiranti cadre nabbed

DAMAK: Armed Police Force arrested a cadre of Kirant Janawadi Workers' Party from Damak on Sunday. Himal Kiranti, 16, hailing from Ilam's Banjho VDC, was arrested during a security check. The police also seized a book, pamphlets and a certificate that linked him to the outlawed party. Kiranti has been kept at the Area Police Office Damak for further investigation, the police said.
