MJF forms dasta

PARASI: The Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum, Nawalparasi, is all set to form the 'Yuba Dasta,' equipped with domestic arms and ammunition. According to Forum District chairman Kailash Mahato, they are all poised to create such a wing to counter activities that aim at foiling their struggle scheduled to begin from March 18. Informing about the formation of a 51-member Central Yuba Dasta, he said such a wing will be formed in the districts as well.

9 houses looted, 7 hurt

Mahendranagar: An armed group of around 30 persons looted nine houses at Bhimdata Municipality in Kanchanpur district on Friday. Seven persons were injured when the looters attacked them. According to DPO, Kanchanpur, property worth Rs 1.5 million was looted. Meanwhile, Moti Nepal and Subhadra Nepal have been sent to India for treatment. DSP Paban Kumar Kharel said search for the looters was on.

DPM meets Advani

NEW DELHI: Visiting Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachhadar on Saturday met senior BJP leader LK Advani, Janata Dal (U) Chief Sharad Yadav, Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and Indian National Congress leader Moti Lal Bohara. Gachhadar told the Indian leaders that his party, Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Democratic, is committed to democratic polity and pluralism.The DPM is scheduled to return home on Sunday.
