Media shun PAF

Achham: Local media in the district have decided to boycott programmes organised by Poverty Alleviation Fund in Achham, stating that Pramod Joshi, coordinator of the partner organisations of PAF in the district, had carried out works without transparency . Issuing a joint state here on Friday, Achham chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalists and the editors of the local media, have decided to give no coverage on the PAF programmes and activities.

Book launched

Kathmandu: A book entitled "Shastrimarga Souvenir Mahakavi Devkota Centenary Special" published by Maitidevi-based Shastrimarga Tole Users Group was made public here on Friday. Rastrakavi Madhav Prasad Ghimire while releasing the book said the activities of Shastrimarga Tole users’ group and family ties among the locals in the area had given the feeling of democracy. Chairperson of organising body Dr Biswodeep Adhikari presided over the programme.
