Birgunj: The irate students shut Birgunj on the second consecutive day on Sunday to protest the killing of their colleague in a road accident on Saturday. Education institutions, marketplaces and industries remained shut while vehicles remained off the road.

Maoists seize land

HETAUDA: Cadres of All Nepal Landless People's Organisation and All Nepal Farmers' Organisation aligned with UCPN-Maoist captured one kathha of land in Namtar VDC on Sunday. The land was purchased by Agriculture Development Bank a decade ago.
