The National Conference of Lawyers has concluded with the adoption of 24-point declaration, including cleansing and making the judiciary corruption-free and enhancing capacity of new entrant legal practitioners.

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, on Sunday, had inaugurated the three-day 15th All Nepal National Lawyers Conference, 2022, organised by Nepal Bar Association. The conference extensively discussed several issues associated with legal practitioners in Nepal.

The declaration has laid emphasis on the implementation of the report produced by a team led by Supreme Court Justice Hari Krishna Karki for elimination of anomalies and aberrations in the judiciary.

The declaration also urged the concerned authorities to address complaints regarding appointment of justices mainly based on political influence and also pay attention to maintaining honesty in judicial dispensation, individual character and public prestige by ending favouritism, nepotism, protectionism, power sharing and political influence.
