National parks mark 25 anniv
Kathmandu, August 31:
Crown Prince Paras today inaugurated the silver jubilee celebrations of the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation. He gave away letters of felicitation to over dozen personalities and institutions for their contribution to conservation of nature. Special postage stamps of mammals were also released on which the Crown Prince put first-day cancellation marks.
Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation, Salim Miya Ansari, said the government has introduced the concept of a buffer zone to support biodiversity through social mobilisation.
