Kathmandu, March 24:

Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) is all set to hold NATTA Travel Mart -2005, which will also see international participation, in Kathmandu from May 12. The association has decided to organise the event after the realisation of the fact that participating in international travel marts alone is not enough to promote the country in the international arena, according to NATTA. The event will be held at Birendra International Convention Centre from May 12-14. India, Thailand, Singapore, Bangladesh, China, Japan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Pakistan and Myanmar will participate in the event, said NATTA president Rabi Paudel, speaking at a press conference here today. NATTA will also hold its 15th convention coinciding with the event. The RNAC is also in the event organising committee. Tourism Minister Buddhi Raj Bajracharya is the patron of the committee. The RNAC will offer 50 per cent discount to international participants of the event. Minister Bajracharya lauded NATTA’s efforts to hold the event and said private sector can play an important role in promoting the tourism sector.
