NC calls CWC meet
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress has called its Central Working Committee meeting for Tuesday to discuss constitutional issues and the issue of postponement of the party’s 13th National General Convention slated from September 19 to 22. The party is preparing to postpone the NGC by clearing the constitutional obstacle. As per the constitution, a party should elect a new working committee through national convention every five years. Major political parties have already agreed to add six months to the five-year provision in the constitution.
