NC candidates elected as mayor and deputy of Panchkhal Municipality
KAVRE: Nepali Congress candidate Mahesh Kharel has been elected as the mayor of Panchkhal Municipality in Kavre district.
Kharel bagged 7,356 votes while his nearest rival CPN-UML Rudra Baniya collected 6,800 votes.
Similarly, Laxmi Danuwar of the Nepali Congress won the elections as deputy mayor with 7,026 votes while her closest competitor Bhakta Kumari Lama of the CPN-UML manged 6,600 votes.
