Kathmandu, April 30:

The Nepali Congress (NC) today tooted the House revival tune again, reiterating that the agitating parties should move forward with the one-point agendum of striving for the restoration of the House of Representatives (HoR) in order to bring back the constitutional and democratic process back on the rails. During an informal meet held at party president Girija Prasad Koirala’s residence, some half a dozen central working committee (CWC) members of the NC, including Shailja Acharya, Nona Koirala, Mahesh Acharya, Ram Krishna Tamrakar, and Leela Koirala among others, discussed and reviewed the agitation, including the current political developments. An insider said the leaders were unanimous in suggesting that the party should not get thrown offtrack by minor developments that come along the way, such as the lifting of the state of emergency. “Since the revival of the democratic and constitutional process is the main objective, at no point of time should the party be diverted or lulled by any development,” the source quoted the leaders as saying.
