NC-Maoists alliance must to implement Constitution: Nidhi
POKHARA: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi said the coalition between Nepali Congress and CPN Maoist Centre was essential to implement the Constitution.
"Congress and Maoist Centre have had prime responsibilities in the national political course since the Maoists joined the peace process," the Nepali Congress leader said, while addressing a function organised to mark the first death anniversary of local NC leader Ramji Paudel in Lekhanath of Kaski today, "To forward the implementation of new Constitution, the parties should have formed some equation."
Nidhi reiterated that the government would move ahead to implement the Constitution while addressing concerns of Madhesi and Janajati communities.
"We have made the democratic republican Constitution," he said, "We all democratic parties have the responsibility to implement the Constitution."
Meanwhile, Nidhi said the government would also hold the local body polls soon.
