NC slams violence

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress on Sunday requested all the agitating parties to seek a solution through talks and urged them not to indulge in any violent activity, including bandh and vandalism.  “No one is permitted to engage in any violent activity. The NC condemns such activities and requests all agitating parties not to repeat them by maintaining restraint and peace and harmony in society,” said NC in a statement issued by its Chief secretary Rishikesh Tiwari.   Stating that the statue of the leader of the peace process Girija Prasad Koirala was pulled down in Birgunj a few days ago, the NC condemned it.
