NC Vice-President Paudel off to India

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice-President Ram Chandra Paudel left for India on a five-day visit on Monday.

According to Paudel’s personal secretariat, he is likely to attend an event of the Patanjali Yogpeeth, run by Yoga Guru Ramdev, in Haridwar.

On the sidelines of the visit, Paudel is scheduled to hold meetings with India’s Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, Minister for Home Affairs Rajnath Singh and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval in the Indian capital, New Delhi.

Paudel’s visit and meetings with the Indian leaders on the onset of NC’s 13th general convention are viewed to be politically important.
