NC will lead nation after polls: Deuba

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba claimed that a majority government led by his party would be formed after provincial and parliamentary polls.

Speaking to mediapersons after casting his ballot at Ruwa Khola voting centre in Ganyapdhura Rural Municipality, Dadeldhura today, Prime Minister Deuba said NC would win the elections with majority not only in Province 7 but also across the country. “I will take the initiative to implement the constitution after formation of the new government led by theNC,” he added.

PM Deuba said the government had received the trust of people after successfully completing the first and second round of provincial and parliamentary polls in the country. “I feel proud as the election was held on time,” he said.

PM Deuba said that the process of implementing the constitution had begun and the country would move on the new path of development.

PM Deuba added that the government would start the process of appointing provincial chiefs soon. The PM clarified that the chiefs of the entire province would be appointed by Sunday. “Consensus for the same will be worked out among political parties,” he said.

He returned to Kathmandu after casting his vote today.
