NC will never go for PR, says Shashank

Nepali Congress central member Shashank Koirala today said that his party may agree on Maoist proposal for declaring the country a republic through the interim parliament but it will in no circumstances agree on an all-out proportional electoral system for constituent assembly polls.
Koirala was speaking at an interaction organized by the party’s Dharan city committee. Koirala also said the teh maoists are scared to face the elections. He laid stress on addressing the issues of the Terai before the constituent assembly polls. Stating that the CA polls would solve 75 per cent of the problems dogging the country, he urged the party cadres to work towards making the party’s show a success in the polls.
