HETAUDA, DECEMBER 2
The Nepali Congress' First Bagmati Province Convention started in Hetauda today.
Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba inaugurated the conference virtually.
Addressing the programme, Nepali Congress' former vice-president and leader Prakash Man Singh accused the communist government led by KP Sharma Oli of failing to work as per people's mandate. Noting that the NC had struggled to institutionalise democracy, Singh said his party had acted whenever the country faced crisis. He said his party had mainstreamed the former rebels. He slammed the party leadership for failing to act as per the NC's founding principles and philosophy.
Singh stressed the need to change the party's leadership to run the party in accordance with late BP, Ganeshman and GP Koirala's vision.
