KATHMANDU, AUGUST 13
The Nepal Climbing Sports Association (NCSA) successfully held its 6th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Convention on Saturday in Kathmandu. The AGM also elected its board members including Hari Prasad Dharel as the President of the Association.
The event was participated by the presence of prominent figures, including Tankalal Ghising, Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC); Jeevan Ram Shrestha, President of the Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC); Prakash Adhikari, Mayor of Tokha Municipality; Aikendra Kunwar, Board Member of NSC; Prakash Kumar Kusari, Ward Member of NSC; Chandraprasad Rijal, Vice Chairman of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB); Govind Bhattarai, President of Mountain Sports Federation Nepal; and Dhan Bahadur Gurung, Secretary of Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA).
The program also saw the presence of Kalpana Maharjan, Chairperson of NCSA Bagmati Province; Bharat Bikram Shah, President of NCSA Sudurpaschim Province; Laxmi Bhattarai, President of NCSA Karnali Province; and Shesh Kant Sharma, Coordinator of NCSA Gandaki Province, among others.
Furthermore, notable attendees included Devi Pant, CEO of KEEP; Govind Basnyat, CEO of Himalayan Rescue Association Nepal (HRA Nepal); Sudip Paudel, Coordinator of Nepal Cycling Association; Monalisa Khambu, Vice President of Nepal Chess Association; and several others who actively participated in the program.
During the event, chief guest, Tanka Laal Ghishing, underscored the imperative of establishing transparent work policies to address prevailing challenges and pave a coherent course for the future trajectory of the sports sector.
Likewise, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Chair of the Nepal Olympic Committee, reassured that the NOC is committed to offering unwavering support in propelling climbing sports onto the global stage.
