Nepal Airlines flight diverted to New Delhi after passenger ‘misbehaves'

KATHMANDU: A Kathmandu-bound Nepal Airlines flight from Dubai was diverted to New Delhi this morning after a passenger allegedly ‘misbehaved’ with flight attendants and co-passengers, according to a source at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

The flight was scheduled to land at the airport in Kathmandu at 10:30 am.

The crew handed over the accused to airport police in New Delhi after the flight landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport. The flight, however, has left for Kathmandu and it would land at TIA shortly, a senior official said. The identity of the accused has not been known yet.

The flight was commanded by senior captain Shyam Krishna Dhewaju along with captain Sanjay Baidhya and flight attendant Subina Shrestha, a NAC source informed.
