Cadet Corps launches 100-day training for students

PHIDIM: Nepal Army's National Cadet Corps started a 100-day training course for higher secondary students with an objective to promote patriotism, discipline and leadership in Panchthar district.

As many as 36 students have been selected for the training, which is being conducted at Phidim Higher Secondary School.

Panchthar' Chief District Officer Kiran Thapa, District Education Officer Raj Kumar Bishwakarma and Principal of Phidim Higher Secondary School and others expressed their belief that the training would be helpful to the students.

The National Cadet Corps with support from Nepal Army's Shree Bhairavi Battalion started imparting training on the selected from today, according to Battalion chief Shiva Raj Panta.

It has been learned that the National Cadet Corps plans to carry out such training in 89 schools of 66 districts.

The outstanding trainees will be selected for further training in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and other countries.

The National Cadet Corps, Nepal was established in 1965 with an objective of bringing forth disciplined, honest and dutiful human resources in the country.
