NA repairing damaged roads, bridges

Keeping in view the third phase of civic polls slated for September 18 in Province 2, Nepali Army personnel have started repairing flood-damaged roads and bridges in Saptari.
NA personnel deployed from Rajbiraj, Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Panchthar, Morang, Sunsari and Udayapur have started repair work at seventy-five places in the district.
Brigadier General Bharat Pathak informed that a team of around 300 personnel with engineers were deployed to repair damaged infrastructures. Pathak, who came to inspect repair work of the bridge over Mahuli Khola in Saptari’s Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality, said NA would complete all repair work before the third phase of the civic polls. “The team is working on war footing to finish repair work before the polls,” said Pathak.
Pathak said the NA had expedited work deploying skilled manpower. Work at Rastriya Primary School at Rajbiraj, Dumari-Biraul, Dumari-Rajdevi Road, Portaha-Mainakaderi road sections has already been completed.
