KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 14

Nepal triumphed over the USA by 17 runs in the first T20 match of their series, held at Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas.

Chasing a target of 165 runs, the USA managed 147/7 in 20 overs.

Nepal's Dipendra Singh Airee was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets, while Karan KC, Rijan Dhakal, and Gulsan Jha claimed one wicket each.

Batting first, Nepal posted 164/9 in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Rohit Poudel top-scored with 49 runs, while Dipendra Singh Airee contributed 28 runs. Asif Sheikh and Anil Shah each added 27 runs to the total.

For the USA, Shayan Jahangir led the resistance with 60 runs.

Nepal and the USA will face off in two more T20 matches before both teams participate in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League-2.
