Nepal envoy sent to Kabul to bring bodies of suicide attack victims home

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa said Nepal's Acting Ambassador to Pakistan has been sent to Kabul of Afghanistan to take initiatives to bring bodies of 14 suicide attack victims home.

Informing the Parliament about the fatal attack on Nepali migrant workers, who were deployed as security guards at the Kabul-based Canadian Embassy, on Monday, Thapa said Islamabad-based Acting Ambassador Tirtha Raj Aryal would also arrange treatment of the five injured Nepalis.

The injured are undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

A desk has been established at the Ministry to provide needful information to families and kin of the victims here, Thapa added.

The Minister reiterated that the Taliban act was a crime against humanity and the government strongly condemned it.
