Nepal hopeful of more Japanese assistance
KATHMANDU: Minister for Physical Planning and Transport Ramesh Lekhak stated that Nepal was looking forward to receive additional Japanese assistance for infrastructural development.
Minister Lekhak put forth such expectation to Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Masashi Ogawa in a meeting today.
During the meeting, the Minister expressed his confidence that the assistance provided by the Japanese government would continue.
"Nepal expects further assistance from Japan as the new Constitution is getting implemented and post-quake reconstruction is underway and we expect foreign assistance to expedite such works," stressed Lekhak.
On the occasion, Ambassador Ogawa expressed his commitment that Japan would obviously augment the assistance as the two countries celebrate the diamond jubilee of establishment of diplomatic ties this year.
