Nepal-India border pillars to be repaired

LUMBINI: The repairing of border pillars between Nepal and India would be continued, a meeting of Nepal-India joint border survey team held in Bhairahawa took the decision recently.

The repairing campaign had begun last fiscal year.

Chief District Officers from Rupandehi, Kapilvastu and Dang districts of Nepal and the district magistrates from Maharajgunj, Siddharthanagar and Balramur of India had met on Monday and decided to continue the repair work, informed Chief of Survey Department, Nirmal Kumar Acharya.

Nawalparasi, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu and Dang districts fall under Nepal-India border survey team number 3.

There are 1032 border pillars in these districts.
