KATHMANDU, JUNE 23
Nepal has been ranked among the top 10 solo adventure travel destinations for summer 2025 by a panel of travel experts at Much Better Adventures, a UK-based adventure travel company.
As global interest in solo active holidays increased by 23% in the past year, the company released its expert-led guide to the 25 best countries for solo adventurers. Nepal secured the seventh position globally, praised for its dramatic landscapes, affordability, and vibrant adventure offerings.
Highlighting Nepal's appeal, the report cited iconic experiences such as the Everest Base Camp trek, jungle rafting in Chitwan, and trekking in the Annapurna region. The country also stands out for its affordability, with average meal costs as low as £1.40 (approx. "From hiking in the Annapurna region to exploring Chitwan, I soon felt at home in this small but diverse nation," she shared, adding that local guides required in national parks make travel safer and more immersive.
