KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 02

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 2,891 on Friday as 134 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 997,660 while the death toll remains at 12,005 as three fatalities were recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 982,764 with 398 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 2,869 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 1,595 were PCR tests while 1,274 were antigen tests.

With this, a total of 5,893,530 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 72 positive cases in the past 24 hours. Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.5%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.

Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
