KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 24

Nepal recorded 213 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 827,271 while the death toll climbed to 11,585 fatalities today. Meanwhile, two fataliies were reported on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 810,780 with 283 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 9,677 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 7,180 were PCR tests while 2,497 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,820,530 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed six positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 219.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 4,906.

Currently, there are 99 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
