A four-day Lhosar fair kicked up in Chhomring of Annapurna Rural Municipality-11, on the way to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) on Sunday.

The fair was organised by the Century Youth Club on the occasion of Lhosar, the Tamu community's celebration.

According to Club Chairperson Mikas Gurung, the 20th edition of the fair, which was designed to preserve the Lhosar culture, will feature volleyball, basketball, and stone throw competitions.

He also stated that 14 volleyball teams and 10 basketball teams have registered. The victors of the volleyball and basketball tournaments would get Rs 25,000 in cash, as well as a shield and certificate.

Similarly, the first and second runners-up of the championships would get monetary prizes of Rs 15,000 and Rs 8,000, respectively, as well as shields and certificates, according to the host.
