KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 21

Nepal recorded 252 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 826,206 while the death toll climbed to 11,577 fatalities today. Meanwhile, three fatalities were reported on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 809,387 with 232 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 17,089 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 12,473 were PCR tests while 4,616 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,784,231 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 38 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 290.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 5,242.

Currently, there are 95 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
